Citizens who believe that Jacksonville's elected officials should welcome and embrace the Navy, not turn their backs on them. Voters who believe that they should have the ultimate decision in whether Jacksonville keeps its promises to the Navy, not the Mayor or City Council members. Workers who believe that 31,460 quality and high paying jobs are worth fighting for, not 250 jobs from a tire distributor. Veterans and retired military service members who believe that Jacksonville should remain a bastion of naval power, not a dwindling naval presence. Taxpayers who feel that the BRAC decision is the right decision. And families of service members, living and deceased, whose loved ones served the forces which guarded our country and protected the American way of life so that each of us may enjoy the day to day FREEDOM that we so often take for granted.
